What were the trends in forest loss in 2023, and what factors are impacting these trends at the country and regional levels? Where are the bright spots of forest loss decline, and where are the areas of concern?
Each year, World Resource Institute’s Global Forest Watch team provides its analysis on the annual tree cover loss data from the University of Maryland’s Global Land Analysis & Discovery (GLAD) Lab, showing when and where forest loss occurred around the world.
Join us on April 4 to dive into the 2023 tree cover loss data, and for a rich discussion with experts on global forest trends and the factors in individual countries that either continue to drive this loss or support progress on forest loss decline.
The 2023 tree cover loss data will be available on Global Forest Watch and our in-depth analysis on the status of the world’s forests will be released on the Global Forest Review on Thursday, April 4, before the webinar begins.
