The International Wildlife Trust

The International Wildlife Trust (IWT) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of transnational illegal wildlife and timber trafficking activities and other environmental crimes occurring in all parts of the globe. IWT is composed of former U.S. federal prosecutors and agents using their expertise to support countries and organizations engaged in the fight against transnational criminal networks involved in these illegal activities in their jurisdictions. IWT supports investigations and prosecutions, builds judicial capacity, and supports legislative, regulatory, and policy reform, among other activities. The International Wildlife Trust (IWT) is committed to combating both the causes and effects of illegal wildlife and timber trafficking by focusing on transnational organized crime groups who have too often escaped the consequences of their criminal activities to date.
